Story 3

Exercise 5
Pg. 295
Two armed robbers intruded into the North Point Inn yesterday, getting away with $130 and killing an employee.
Bookkeeper, Nina Cortez is the leading witness in the robbery. Nina had just started counting the money from the night before. “A man came around the corner, carrying a knife. I started screaming and kicking. My chair was on rollers, and when I started kicking, it fell. I fell on the floor and he reached across my desk and grabbed $130 in $5 bill”, according to Cortez. After the money was taken, the robber walked out of the room.
When Cortez managed to escape the room, she found one of the cooks, Kevin Blohm, dead. “I went into the hallway with the police and saw blood on a door in the reception area. It was awful. There was blood on the walls and floor. Kevin was lying on the floor, dead. He had a large knife wound in his chest and another on one hand”, tells Cortez.
According to Cortez, there could possibly have been two men involved in the robbery. By the time the police arrived, the men had left. The police currently have a lead on who the robbers could be.
